Scoliosis Associates was established in 1972 by Dr. Stanley Hoppenfeld. Dr. Vasantha Murthy has been with Scoliosis and Spine Associates for over 25 years. She directs the non-operative care of patients, including bracing for patients with spinal deformities. Dr. Murthy is one of the most experienced physicians in the bracing treatment and non-operative care of spinal deformities.

The philosophy of Scoliosis Associates involves a patient-centered approach to medicine. We strive to attain the trust and respect of our patients, and we educate our patients so that they can make informed decisions. In formulating our treatment plans, we also take into consideration each patient’s unique long-term goals, such as improvement of function in daily activities as well as appearance, in addition to traditional clinical goals such as correcting the curve in scoliosis. Balancing these two factors allows us to treat you with your best interests in mind.

At Scoliosis Associates, we also understand that the standard of care for treating spinal disorders is constantly changing as new research and technological advances are discovered. We are active members of the Scoliosis Research Society and we present our own research annually in many professional forums. We aspire to continuous progress in our treatment of spinal disorders, and we seek to bring the best of these new techniques to serve our patients.

Rest assured that you are in good hands with the physicians and staff at Scoliosis Associates. We look forward to providing you or your family member with the highest quality of care in a compassionate environment.
